Mind & Life Institute: Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness (TSM) for Young Peacebuilders

A trauma & context-sensitive mindfulness program for peacebuilding and reconciliation (of TS-MBSR category) will gather 16 young peacebuilders, from India, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh, working with communities affected by diverse forms of violence such as victims of war or armed conflict, refugees, IDP or migrants; with the aim to discuss, reflect, share, practice and systematize mindfulness sensitive to trauma and reconciliation for youth. Azim Premji University: Arts for Promoting Mental Health Elective Course

This core elective course provides students with the necessary mental health frameworks to understand their affective, cognitive, and somatic self in a group learning environment. 

Along with core concepts of positive mental health concepts including resourcing, identity, boundaries and inter-connectedness of self, the course enables them to become aware of and work with a range of feelings; build emotional regulation skills, and gain confidence to express themselves with agency and strength, among others. Read more.

Asia-Europe Foundation, 18th Informal ASEM Seminar on Human Rights: Training on Prevention of Violent Extremism (PVE)

This 3-day residential training programme will build the capacity and competencies of 20-30 ASEM Partners of early to mid-level practitioners (with 3−10 years relevant work experience) in the Prevention of Violent Extremism (PVE). 
The training will deeply examine the causes of violent extremism (VE), deliver a deeper insight and understanding into human rights-based approaches to prevent violent extremism, and highlight the need for meaningful youth participation. Using Human Rights Education (HRE) and Non-formal Education (NFE) methodologies, the training aims to empower a community of practitioners in Asia and Europe to take effective measures to prevent violent extremism with respect for human rights, in their personal and professional capacities. Read more
